BNP has approved a 184-member full-fledged committee of its cultural wing Jatiyatabadi Samajik Sangskritik Sangstha (Jasas), making Dhaka University Prof Mamun Ahmed its president and actor Helal Khan general secretary.
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has approved the committee, said a party press release on Saturday.
Apart from the full-fledged committee, the party also approved a 23-member advisory council of Jasas.
Actor Babul Ahmed was made senior vice-president of Jasas while Jakir Hossain Rokon senior joint general secretary and Chowdhury Mazahar Ali organising secretary.
In the last committee, MA Malek was appointed president and singer Monir Khan general secretary of Jasas.
A 30-member partial committee of Jasas was formed on January 19, 2017 asking it to constitute a full-fledged committee by six months.
