Three BNP associate bodies--Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, and Swechchasebak Dal--will hold its ‘youth rally’ at Suhrawardy Uddyan in the capital on Saturday to drum up the young generation’s support for their one-point demand, including holding the next polls under a caretaker government.
“Through discussion with the police authorities, we’ve decided to hold our youth rally at Suhrawardy Uddyan,” Jubo Dal President Sultan Salahuddin Tuku told reporters after a meeting with the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner on Thursday night.

He said the DMP authorities asked them to give an application for using the venue for their youth rally.
“We’ve already submitted the application.”
Tuku said they will hold a press conference in front of the BNP’s Nayapaltan central office on Friday to elaborate on their plans for the rally.
He said that they have already held five ‘youth rallies’ in five divisions with the cooperation of the administration.

“We the three organisations will jointly hold a similar rally in Dhaka on July 22 (Saturday). We came here (DMP commissioner’s office) to inform them about our rally…they positively told us to hold the programme at the Suhrawardy Udyan.”
He said they will now take preparation to hold the last youth rally in the capital to involve the youth with their movement to realise their one-point demand.
Tuku said the DMP commissioner assured them of providing all-out cooperation to make their programme a success.
Earlier, Tuku along with Dhaka south BNP convener Abdus Salam, North BNP convener Amanullah Aman and JCD president Kazi Rawnaqul Islam Shrabon met DMP Commissioner Khandker Golam Faruq at his Bailey Road office.
On June 2, three BNP associate bodies announced to hold sixth youth rallies in Chattogram, Bogura, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet and Dhaka.
