BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said on Wednesday that the knee of Awami League (AL) has started shaking due to the US sanctions.
“The knee of the Awami League has started shaking because of the sanctions by America. We can’t show faces due to shame,” he said.
Fakhrul said this while addressing as the chief guest at a youth rally organised by the party to woo youths with slogans ‘young generation will cast votes, fighting for vote’ in Kazir Dewri area of the port city of Chattogram on Wednesday afternoon.

Urging all to be united, the BNP leader said the AL can’t be trusted on the election issue.
Paintign a picture of a balanced state, he said all basic rights to the people will be ensured once they come to power in the future.
He alleged that peoples’ voting rights along with other rights were snatched away by the ruling party.
Fakhrul said AL men are misappropriating people’s money in the name of development while general people are being deprived of their basic needs.
Expressing sympathy to Islami Andolon Bangladesh leader Mufti Faizul Karim for attacks on him, the BNP leader claimed that the total election system collapsed in the country.

Secretary General Fakhrul expressed his doubts about a slow poisoning to Chairperson Khaleda Zia and alleged that she has been kept in detention in an unjust way.
He said the country's people have been passing days in pain due to the price hike of the essential commodities.
BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Vice Chairmen Abdullah Al Noman and Barkat Ullah Bulu and Jubo Dal President Sultan Salauddin Tuku, among others spoke among others.
