Dhaka, Oct 28 (UNB) - Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society took solo lead in the Walton 1st Division Chess League after the fourth round at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room on Sunday.
Janata Bank earned full eight points after 4-0 game points victory against Kasparov Chess Club in the fourth round.
Overnight, the joint leader Agrani Bank Daba Dal lost to Mir Chess Club by 2.5 -1.5 game points on the day.
Agrani Bank and Mir Chess are now sharing the second slot with identical six points from four and three rounds respectively after the day.
Among the day’s other encounters, Basir Memorial Chess Club beat Legend Faraz Ayaiz Chess Team by 3-1 game points; Leonien Chess Club defeated Mohakhali Pradip Sangah by 2.5 -1.5 game points; Khelaghor Daba Sangah of Gopalganj beat Uttara Central Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 game points.
