Hosts Bangladesh restricted touring Zimbabwe to a miserly 119 runs for 7 in stipulated 20 overs in the 2nd and final match of the two-match T20I series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Wednesday.
Bangladesh won the toss and invited Zimbabwe to bat first and they started well posting 69 runs for two wickets with Brendan Taylor smashing 59 runs off 48 with hitting six fours and one six. But the other batsmen failed to ignite the innings despite having wickets in hand.
Craig Ervine was the second-highest scorer making 29 runs off 33 balls with three fours. But the batsmen like Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza failed to click in the match.
Eventually, they have settled for a less than a run-a-ball total of 119 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs.
Mustafizur Rahman and Al Amin Hossain bagged two wickets each while Mohammad Saifuddin, Mahedi Hasan and Afif Hossain took one wicket each.
