Two times Asian Games silver medalist Bangladesh women's cricket team will play their arch-rivals India in the first semifinal of the 9th Asian Games Cricket on Sunday morning (Sept 24, 2023).
The match will begin at 7 am (BST) at the Zhejiang University of Technology Cricket ground in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.
Pakistan will play against Sri Lanka in the second semi-final on Sunday afternoon at the same venue.
Earlier, Bangladesh team reached the semifinal of the Asian Games Cricket as they were declared winner against Hong Kong in a rain interrupted quarter final in Hangzhou last Friday (Sept 22).
The 4th and last quarter final match between Bangladesh and Hong Kong was abandoned on Friday without a single ball being bowled due to rain and later Bangladesh declared winner as per bye law as their ICC ranking is higher than that of Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh men's football team will play hosts China in their last Group A match on Sunday at 5: pm while Bangladesh Hockey team will start their Asian Games campaign taking on Japan on Sunday at 11 am.
Bangladesh women's shooting team comprises Shaiya Khatun, Kamrun Nahar Koli and Nafisa Tabassum will compete in individual and team event of the women's 10-meter air rifles while Bangladeshi swimmer Samiul Islam will compete in the heats of men's 100-meter breaststroke Sunday morning.
Besides, Bangladeshi sportsmen will also compete in Chess, Gymnastics and Taekwondo competitions on Sunday.
