Dhaka, Sept 23 (UNB) – The first four-day unofficial Test match of two-match series between touring Bangladesh A team and Sri Lanka A team was abandoned as the 2nd day’s play was halted due to rain without a single ball being bowled at FTZ Sports Complex in Katunayake of Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
The first day’s play was also suspended without a single ball being bowled due to rain on Monday. The 2nd and the final four-day match will begin on September 30 at Galle.
A 15-member 2nd string Bangladesh team reached Colombo on September 18 to play two four-day and three one-day matches against the Islanders.
The first two one-day matches between the two teams are scheduled to be held on October 7 and 9 at Hambantota while 3rd one is billed for October 12 in Colombo.
