Itinerary of the tour was announced on Friday by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
This series is part of the ongoing World Test Championship. However, the winners of the series won’t be able to change the line-up of the final of the event. India and New Zealand will lock horns in the final scheduled to be played from June 18 to 22 at Southampton.
Both Tests will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy. The first match will take place from April 21 to April 25 and the second from April 29 to May 3.
Before the series, Bangladesh will play an intra-squad game at Chilaw Marians Cricket Club Ground, Katunayake.
This tour was originally scheduled to take place in September last year. But due to the Covid-19 situation and strict quarantine condition in the island nation, the series was postponed.
Tigers are currently touring New Zealand for an ODI and T20 series. The ODI series will begin on March 20 at Dunedin. The remaining two ODIs will be played on March 23 and 26 at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch and Basin Reserve, Wellington respectively.
The T20Is will be played on March 28, 30 and April 1 at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, Basin Reserve, Wellington and Eden Park, Auckland respectively.
Bangladesh are yet to win any international game in New Zealand. However, the team is more confident now than ever.
In the New Zealand tour, Bangladesh are not scheduled to play any Tests. The Kiwis are slated to tour Bangladesh later this year to play Tests.
