Bangladesh Police FC earned the 7th victory in the 17th round match of the 12-team Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football outplaying lowly Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by 4-1 goal at the Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni Stadium in Gopalganj on Wednesday.
Ivorian striker Christian Kouakou and local forward Sheikh Bablu scored two goals each for the Police team while Burundi forward Sudi Abdallah netted the face-saving goal for the freedom fighters team in the day's lone match.

Christian Kouakou scored first for Police FC in the very 3rd minute (1-0) while Sudi Abdallah restored the parity for Muktijoddha SKC in the 18th minute (1-1).
Christian Kouakou put the Police team ahead in the 26th minute scoring his 2nd goal in the 26th minute (2-1).
Sheikh Bablu netted two successive goals in the 44th and 90+1 minutes to guide his team to a comfortable victory (4-1).
Despite the day's well-merited victory, Police FC remained at 7th slot in the league table securing 25 points while Muktijoddha SKC struggling at 10th slot with 11 points, both playing 17 matches each.

Last two times champions Bashundhara Kings came close to clinch the league crown for the 3rd time in a row securing 44 points from 17 matches while Federation and Independence Cup champions Dhaka Abahani Limited followed the league leaders distantly with 38 points from 17 encounters.
