Bangladeshi athlete Jahir Raihan left Dhaka for China on a China Southern flight on Wednesday night to participate in the 2025 World Athletics Indoor Championship, which begins in the Chinese city of Nanjing on Friday (March 21).
The navy athlete will compete in Bangladesh’s only event the men’s 400-meter run during the three-day meet.
He will race in the event's heat on Friday (March 21) at 11 am local time and 9 am Bangladesh time.
The semifinal of the men’s 400-meter run is scheduled for Friday at 8:50 pm China time and 6:50 pm Bangladesh time, while the final will take place on Saturday (March 22) at 8:55 pm local time and 6:55 pm Bangladesh time.
Navy coach Al Amin is accompanying him to China as the team leader.
The two-member Bangladesh athletics team will return home on March 25.
