Bangladeshi Grandmaster Ziaur Rahman shared the second slot along with seven other players in the Category A Grand Masters Chess Competition of the 13th KIIT International Chess Festival securing five points after the 6th round matches now being held in Indian city of Bhubaneswar in Odisha on Thursday..

In the 5th round match on Wednesday, Grandmaster Zia drew with FM Rohith Krishna of India while GM Zia beat Praloy Sahoo of India in the 6th round match Thursday morning.
A total of 175 players including 11 Grandmasters, 1 Female Grandmaster and 14 International Masters from 10 countries are participating in the event.
