Right-handed Bangladesh batter Liton Das earned his career-best ranking in the Test, according to the latest ranking update by the ICC.
Liton is currently standing at 15— jumping up from 32. He is only the second Bangladeshi batter after Tamim Iqbal to enter to top 15 batters in Test. Tamim was at 14 after home series in 2017.

Liton was outstanding in the just-concluded two-match Test series in New Zealand where he posted 86 in the first match and registered a solid ton in the second match.
Bangladesh won the first Test by eight wickets, their maiden win in New Zealand in any format of international cricket. But the Tigers lost the second match with poor perfornance in the first innings.
They responded well in the second innings led by Liton’s second century in Test, but they eventually lost the match to the hosts.

Imperious batting display in New Zealand has helped Liton to earn his career-best ranking.
Bangladesh team will return home on January 15. After that, the players will get busy with the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) starting from January 21 in Dhaka.
