The ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021's Super 12 Round will conclude on Monday (November 8) with a match between India and Namibia. The final match of this round will be a dead rubber as four teams have qualified for the semi-finals on Sunday (November 7). India would have had a chance to go to the last four if Afghanistan had won the match against New Zealand. Pakistan (First)

Pakistan finished first in Group 2 points standings with a 100 percent winning record. They won all of their Super 12 Round matches and gained 10 points to advance to the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 semifinals.

New Zealand finished second in Group 2 with 8 points, securing a spot in the semifinals. They won four matches in this round and only lost one against Pakistan.

The Group 1 champion England will meet the Group 2 runner-up New Zealand in the first semifinal on November 10. The following day, the Group 2 champion Pakistan will play the Group 1 runner-up Australia in the second semifinal.

There have been no upsets in the Super 12 Round as the big teams are aware of the potential of emerging teams. Afghanistan were the most promising team among the weaker oppositions. They put up a determined effort against stronger opponents. Aside from that, Pakistan is the only team to stay undefeated in the competition.
