Bangladesh Men's Hockey team tasted the first defeat in their 4th and last Pool A match of Men's U-18 Asia Cup Hockey losing to favorite Pakistan by 3-6 goal at the Dazhou National Training Centre in China on Tuesday.
The day's defeat will not affect their semifinal berth of Bangladesh from Pool A
Bangladesh assured the last four berths with one match spare securing nine points from three matches beating hosts China by 5-2 goal, Hong Kong, China by 3-0 goal and crushing Sri Lanka by 13-0 goal In Pool A matches.
The day's match between Bangladesh and Pakistan was locked in 3-3 goals in the half time (2nd quarter) .
Bangladesh bravely fought with their mighty opponents Pakistan till the half time but went down in the race conceding one goal in the 3rd quarter and two more goals in the 4th and last quarter.

In the day's match, Ismail Hosen struck twice and Din Islam scored the remaining goal for Bangladesh .
However, the champions of Pool A will decide after the Pakistan -China last group match on Wednesday.
Pakistan will be the Pool A champions to reach semifinal with all win run if they will able beat China in the last group match and then Bangladesh reached semifinal as the Pool A runners up.
Bangladesh is likely to play semifinal against Pool B leader Japan on Friday .
In Pool B, Japan men’s team dominated the group securing 12 points from four matches while Malaysia followed them with nine points from four outings
Bangladesh men's team put in Pool A with Pakistan, China, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong, China.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh women's team in their first appearance in the Women's U-18:Asia Cup, also reached super four stage in the eight-team meet beating Hong Kong and Uzbekistan by 3-0 goals each after suffering 0-11 goals defeat in the opening match against group leader Japan.
