Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) finished runners-up in the men’s senior events clinching 5 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel MP distributed prizes among the champions and runners-up teams during the prize-giving and closing ceremony.
President of Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation Kazi Morshed Hossain and General Secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana were also present at the occasion.
In the women’s senior events, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP emerged champions collecting 12 gold, 4 silver and one bronze medals while Army finished runners-up securing 5 gold and 5 silver.
In the men’s junior events, BKSP became champions securing 6 gold, 2 silver and Sirajganj District Sports Association came second with 2 gold, one silver and one bronze.
In the women’s junior events, Rajshahi District Sports Association emerged champions with 4 gold, 2 silver, one bronze and Cumilla finished runners-up with 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals.
A total of 600 taekwondo players in 30 teams from districts, services, universities, sports associations and boards took part in the 3-day meet.
