New Zealand player Allen Finn has tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday, 48 after his arrival in Dhaka, confirmed a post by the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) website.
Allen is one of the two New Zealand players who arrived in Bangladesh before their teammates.
Allen is fully vaccinated and passed all his pre-departure tests in England - before testing positive in Dhaka, the NZC website says.

Allen is receiving treatment from the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s chief medical officer; has been in contact with NZC’s chief medical officer, and will be monitored during his stay in quarantine by BLACKCAPS doctor Pat McHugh.
“It’s really unfortunate for Finn,” said Mike Sandle, BLACKCAPS manager. “He is comfortable at the moment and hopefully he’ll recover quickly, will test negative and be cleared and approved for discharge as soon as possible.”
Sandle also said that the Bangladesh authorities have been extremely professional in their response, and they are treating the matter very seriously.

Before coming to Bangladesh, Allen represented the Birmingham Phoenix in England’s new Hundred competition. Allen came to Bangladesh through Heathrow on an Emirates flight. The New Zealand cricket officials had notified the airline of his circumstances.
It is not clear yet whether Allen will be replaced in the squad.
New Zealand will play a five-match T20I series against the hosts starting from September 1. All the matches of this series will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
