With three sixes and three fours, Nurul Hasan struck 30 runs off the last over to lead Rangpur Riders to a thrilling three-wicket win over defending champions Fortune Barishal in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Thursday in Sylhet.
Chasing a big target of 198, the Riders needed 26 runs in the last over. Nurul delivered a stunning finish, smashing three sixes and three fours off Kyle Mayers.
Mayers conceded only three runs in his first over which might have prompted Barishal captain Tamim Iqbal to hand the ball to him in the last over. But his second over proved so costly that it cost the match for them.

With two runs needed off the final ball, Nurul cleared the mid-wicket boundary for a six to seal the game in style.
Riders required 71 runs with seven wickets in hand, entering the final five overs. They managed just 32 runs in the 16th, 17th, and 18th overs, leaving them needing 39 from the final 12 balls, which was still a tough job to do.
Jahandad Khan removed three batters while conceding 13 runs, seemingly putting Barishal in control. However, Nurul’s explosive knock of 32 off just seven balls, including three sixes and three fours, turned the tide decisively in Rangpur’s favor.
Tawfique Khan, 38 off 28 balls, and Iftikhar Ahmed, 48 off 36, have also contributed well with the bat to chase down a big target of 198 runs.

With this win, the Riders remain undefeated this BPL season, securing their sixth victory, while this match was Barishal's third loss in eight encounters.
