Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the itinerary of the next month’s five –match T201 series between hosts Pakistan and touring Bangladesh including Iqbal Stadium of Faisalabad as one of the two venues.
Iqbal Stadium of Faisalabad will host international cricket match for the first time after 17 years through ensuing Bangladesh- Pakistan T201 series, first two of which will be held there in May 25 and 27.
Iqbal Stadium of Faisalabad, which hosted 24 tests and 16 ODIs, exiled from the international cricket after the terror attacks against the Sri Lankan national team in 2009.
The last international games in Faisalabad, was an ODI, also held between Bangladesh and Pakistan in April 2008.

The remaining three T201 matches will take place at the newly renovated Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on May 30, June 1 and 3.
At the five day-night basis matches will kick off at 8 pm local time and 9 pm Bangladesh time due to high temperature in summer season.
Bangladesh's visit to Pakistan was initially fixed as a joint T20I and ODI series, with three games in each format. But, both the boards agreed to replace the ODIs with two additional T20Is as preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup in February-March 2026, scheduled to take place in India and Sri Lanka.
