Bangladesh team were eliminated from the title race of the 13th South Asian Games Men’s Volleyball after conceding a straight 0-3 sets defeat against Pakistan in the 2nd semifinal at Tripureshwor Covered Hall in Kathmandu on Sunday.
Bangladesh Men’s team will now play the 3rd place-deciding match on Monday (December 2) at 2pm against Sri Lanka, who were also eliminated from the race losing to holders India by 1-3 sets in the first semi-final on Sunday.
Two traditional rivals India and Pakistan will play in the final on Tuesday (December 3) at 3pm.
Earlier, Bangladesh men’s team brightened their semifinal berth from Group A eliminating hosts Nepal by 3-2 sets in a keenly contested first match and assured the semifinal berth as the Group A runners-up, despite losing to India by an straight 0-3 sets in the 2nd match.
