Bangladesh's left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam has been granted a NOC to participate in the Lankan Premier League (LPL). He has been signed by the Colombo Strikers.
Shoriful has already left Dhaka to join his LPL team in Colombo.
Previously, right-handed middle-order batter Towhid Hridoy was also allowed to participate in the LPL, marking his debut in a foreign league.
Although pace bowler Taskin Ahmed received an invitation to play in the LPL, the board did not allow him to participate due to his workload.
Bangladesh's T20 captain, Shakib Al Hasan, is also expected to play in the LPL.
The Sri Lanka Cricket Board launched the LPL in 2018, and it has been held annually since then. The fourth edition of LPL will take place from July 31 to August 22, 2023.
