Incessant rain washed away the first T20 between South Africa and India at the Kingsmead Stadium on Sunday when the game was abandoned before the toss.
The toss was initially delayed due to rain and the weather didn’t relent, prompting the abandonment at 1755 local time.

The game was the first of a scheduled three-match series, with the second to be staged in Gqeberha on Tuesday and the third in Johannesburg on Dec. 14.
South Africa is also hosting India for three ODIs and then a two-test series. The three-match ODI series will be contested from Dec. 17-21.
The first test begins in Centurion on Dec. 26, with the second test to be played in Cape Town from Jan. 3.

It is South Africa’s first international action since losing to Australia in the Cricket World Cup semifinal at Kolkata.
India, meanwhile, beat Australia 4-1 in a bilateral T20 series at home after the World Cup when it was beaten by Australia in the final at Ahmedabad.
