Despite an 80-run stand the third wicket partnership between Mohammad Naim and Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh lost quick wickets against Oman in the T20 World Cup on Tuesday, and ended up dismissed for 153 in 20 overs, with Naim hitting the highest of 64 off 50 balls.
Bangladesh failed to have a good start once again. In the powerplay, Bangladesh scored 29 for two. Liton Das failed once again— posting only six. He had scored five in the first match against Scotland.
Mahedi Hasan, who was promoted to number three, failed to score.
In the third wicket stand, Shakib joined Naim, and they posted 80 off 53 balls. Shakib was run-out running casually for a single when he was 42 off 29.
While going to 122 from 101, Bangladesh lost four wickets including Shakib and Naim.
