Dhaka, Sept 17 (UNB) – An all-round performance by Qamar Naveed enabled Pakistan to reach the final of the Walton Tri-Nation T20 Deaf Cricket with one match to spare beating their traditional rivals and defending champions India by four wickets in their 3rd match at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Monday.
Sent in to bat first, India scored 97 for 9 in 20 overs with Santosh making 21, opener Manjeet 16 and Shanti 12 runs.
Qamar Naveed took three wickets for 12 runs while Nayeem and Jabbar claimed two wickets each.
In reply, Pakistan reached their target scoring 101 runs for the loss of six wickets in 19 overs.
Pakistani middle-order batsman Qamar Naveed, who earlier grabbed three wickets, contributed unbeaten 38 runs to be adjudged man of the match.
Manjeet captured two wickets for 14 runs.
Besides, opener Bilal Yousuf scored 16 runs and Sohail made 16 runs for Pakistan.
Earlier, Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 38 runs and defeated their arch-rival India by 101 runs. The Bangladesh-India match ended in tie on Sunday.
