Bangladesh Army clinched the men’s title and Bangladesh Ansar won the women’s title of the Victory Day Wrestling Competition that concluded on Tuesday (December 31) at the Sheikh Russell Roller Skating Complex in the capital.
The men’s champions Bangladesh Army clinched the top slot securing four gold, four silver and two bronze medals while the women’s champions Bangladesh Ansar collected six gold and four bronze medals.
Editor of Daily Vorer Pata and Director of FBCCI Dr Kazi Ertaza Hassan was the chief guest at the day’s closing function and later he distributed the prizes. General Secretary of Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation Tabiur Rahman Palowan was also present on the occasion.
Some 200 wrestlers from Army, BGB, Police, Ansar, Dhaka Sabuj and Nazimuddin Road SC are taking part in the meet, organized by Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation.
