Lenovo Legion Duel 2 price and release date
Although the company is yet to declare any specific release date, it is expected to get a first release in the European market. However, the initial date could be in May. After that the UK market might get it, but no release date is firm yet. We have not heard any release date for the USA and South Asian markets either. But we will update as soon as Lenovo announces the release date.
Initially, the price for the UK market is set to start at £699, which is approximately AU$1,250 or $950 or Tk80553.47 ($1 equivalent to Tk84.79) for 12 GB ROM and 256 GB of storage. However, you may also go for the largest variant for £899, approximately AU$1,600 or $1,250 or Tk105991.41 ($1 equivalent to Tk84.79) for 512 GB of storage.
Design and display
From the name, you can already understand that legion duel 2 is specially built for gamers. So, they focused more on the landscape orientation so that gamers can play the games effortlessly. And it is the main purpose of the phone while talking, and other features also got emphasized.
It is designed as thick, while the thinnest point is 9.9 mm, and the thickest part is 12.56 mm. Besides, it weighs a bit higher than other gaming phones in this category. It weighs 259 grams which is great to hold while you use it in the landscape mode.
The rear part of the phone features some indents, which is feasible to place your finger. However, this might not be the coolest for all, but it can help with the accessibility and refrain you from using any extra controller. The indents also come with maple controls, which we have seen before on the previous version of the legion phone.
A huge 6.92-inch display with 1080 x 2460 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate should provide you an unforgettable experience. Besides, the 720Hz touch sample rate also emphasizes its credibility as a gaming phone.
According to the first look of the phone, the display is bright and crisp, which is highly essential for gaming. The phone has a pop-up selfie camera on the right-hand edge of the phone instead of the cutout selfie camera.
So, this feature allows you to take selfies while you use the phone on the landscape. You can directly open up the camera app directly in the landscape mood. However, you can close the camera by pressing the power button located at the top of the camera.
Camera and battery
At the first look, it seems that the camera of legion duel 2 is pretty similar to the first version, which is considered suitable for most of the users.
Legion 2 contains a 64MP main camera alongside a 16MP ultra-wide in the back, while the selfie camera is 44MP. The front-facing selfie camera is designed to make it perfect for streaming. Furthermore, the front camera can record 4K videos at 60 and 60 frames/ second.
It offers a 5,500mAh battery which is bigger than the first version of the phone. So, it is reasonable to think that the battery will last longer while playing games for a long time.
It also comes with 900W fast charging features; however, you will need a separate charger for that. Besides, it comes with 65W default fast charging features, and the charger is included in the box. The battery has two ports to power it up, and you may need to use both ports to get the fast-charging features.
One port is located on the left-hand edge of the phone, while the other one is on the bottom edge of the phone. The location of these ports allows you to charge the phone even when you play, especially in the landscape position.
Gaming and Specs
The legion phone 2 operates via Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is considered the fastest processor for the android phone in today’s world. The processor helps them to start the high definition as quickly as possible. Besides, it helps to have a great graphic experience for any kind of game.
The phone comes with a specially designed twin turbo-fan which enhances the cooling system and helps your phone to remain cool and stop from overheating while playing games continuously.
It comes in two variants, 16 GB and 12 GB Rom. The internal memory comes with two variants, too, 256GB and 512 GB.
The Lenovo legion dual 2 is a 5G ready phone. So, if you have a compatible career or network service, you can easily connect to the fastest internet.
This phone is solely made for gamers. And compared to the other gaming phones, it can be said that legion 2 offers absolute top-end specs. Since we are yet to get the phone in our hands for the full review, this review should give you an initial view of the phone.
