The 45-minute documentary was made by local TV2 channel with the support of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Mongolia.

The documentary tells China's contribution to Mongolia's infrastructure development in the 1950s and 1960s, the links of China's Belt and Road Initiative and Mongolia's Development Road Initiative and the rapid development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries in recent years.

"A few days later or on Oct. 16, we are about to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Mongolia. Mongolian TV2 channel made the documentary ... to build a bridge between the hearts of the two peoples," Chinese Ambassador to Mongolia Xing Haiming said at the launching ceremony of the documentary.

   He expressed the hope that with the deepening of humanities exchanges between China and Mongolia, there will be more such excellent works in the future.

"This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Mongolia-China diplomatic relations, the 25th anniversary of the revision of the Treaty on Friendship and Cooperation between Mongolia and China, and the 5th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership," Mongolian Foreign Minister Damdin Tsogtbaatar said in a message sending to the ceremony.

"I believe the documentary is not only a great gift for the historic anniversaries between the two countries but also shows the solid friendship of the two peoples over the past 70 years," said the message.

In the 1950s and 1960s, China sent large numbers of workers to Mongolia to help with the country's infrastructure development.
