Five people trapped in a landslide in south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region have been confirmed dead, local authorities said Wednesday.
The landslide occurred at about 11:26 a.m. Monday in Mangchang Township of Nandan County.
Rescuers located all five people trapped in the incident, but they were found without vital signs, according to county authorities.
Authorities are continuing follow-up operations and investigating the cause of the landslide.
