A helicopter carrying three people crashed into Biscayne Bay near Miami shortly before noon on Wednesday.
The helicopter went down near Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, off Key Biscayne, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office.
Preliminary information suggests that the Robinson R44 II helicopter was conducting an aerial photography flight at the time of the crash, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said.
Firefighters from the City of Miami and Miami-Dade County responded to the crash site, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities did not immediately disclose the conditions of the three occupants or provide further details about the incident.
