During a meeting between Moroccan Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs Mounia Boucetta and the Executive Director of the Mekong River Commission An Pich Hatda in Rabat, the two sides discussed concrete proposals that should benefit member states of the Commission, said Moroccan official news agency MAP.
The Mekong River Commission is an inter-governmental organisation comprising Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand to jointly manage the shared water resources and the sustainable development of the Mekong River.
The partnership between the Mekong River Commission and Morocco is a good example of south-south cooperation, said the MAP quoting Hatda.
For her part Boucetta said that Morocco is the first African and Arab country to enter into a partnership with the Mekong River Commission as part of the development of South-South and win-win partnerships.
