Maritime ports of Chattogram, Mongla and Payra have been advised to watch carefully for further necessary instructions as the low pressure area over Southeast Bay intensified into a well-marked low and lies over Southeast Bay and adjoining South Andaman Sea.
All fishing boats, trawlers over North Bay and deep sea have been advised to proceed with caution and not to venture into the deep sea by the Met office on Saturday.
Bangladesh Meteorological Office in a forecast said , “The low pressure is likely to intensify further into a Depression and move in a north-northeasterly direction.”
Meanwhile, a mild heat wave sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi & Khulna divisions and the districts of Rangamati,Chandpur, Feni, Sylhet, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Nilphamari and Patuakhali may continue, said the BMD forecast for next 24 hours commencing 6pm Saturday.
It said, the weather may remain dry over the country.
The highest temperature in the country was recorded at 38.5 degree Celsius in Rajshahi.
