A student class IX student was killed being hit by a truck at Kutubpur Adarsha Nagar in Fatullah upazila of Narayanganj on Thursday
The deceased was identified as Arif Hasan, 15, a student of Adaarsha Nagar Ahsan Uddin High School and son of rickshaw puller Yousuf Ali.
Police have arrested truck driver Ayub Ali and seized the truck.
A sand- laden truck hit Arif from behind while he was walking on the road, leaving him dead on the spot, said officer-in-charge of Fatullah Model police station Rakibuzzaman.
The body was sent to Narayanganj General (Victoria) Hospital for an autopsy, said the OC.
