State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Tuesday said the government will connect the whole country including the remote areas with broadband internet service by 2025.
The state minister said this while attending a webinar virtually today.
The government is prioritizing digital inclusion for reviving the rural economy, he said.
“300 schools of future will be established across the country to make the new generation familiar with frontier technologies like AR, VR , robotics, IOT and block chain technology aiming at enhancing their skills,” said the state minister.

Palak said, during the Covid-19 pandemic, telemedicine services in the country have increased by over 300 percent.
While 13,000 more community health clinics were established for giving health services from expert doctors through video conferencing, test report sharing online, he said.

“Ninety-eight percent of the people connected from mobile to get these services,” said Palak.
