Two bikers killed in Dhaka road crash
Two men riding a bike were killed after being hit by a truck on Khilgaon flyover in Dhaka early on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Bdhan Bishwash, 42, and Entaruzzaman Milon, 43.
The accident occurred around 3.30 am when the speeding truck hit the motorcycle from behind, leaving the two dead on spot, said Maruf Hosain Milon, sub-inspector at Khilgaon police station.

“The truck has been seized but its driver managed to flee. The bodies have been sent for autopsy,” said SI Milon.

Two students beaten up at DU hall
Two residential students of Dhaka University (DU) were allegedly beaten up by 10-12 people at Bijoy Ekattor Hall on Saturday morning.
One of the injured students, Akhlaquzzaman Anik told UNB that the attackers were all followers of BCL president of Bijoy Ekattor Hall unit Sajibur Rahman Sajib. "They entered my room around 8.30am and thrashed me badly."
Anik was later taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital by other students and teachers. "My second semester exams are scheduled to be held this evening," he said.

On the possible reasons for the attack on him, Anik said, "Three days ago, one of the attackers went to Suhrawardy Udyan with a female friend. He later claimed that I had abused them there."
The BCL president of Bijoy Ekattor Hall unit, however, said that the hall administration would take action against the perpetrators of the alleged attack. "We will co-operate with the authorities in their probe."
When contacted, Prof Dr Abdul Bachir said, "I have heard about the attack but not yet received any written complaint from the victims."
