An intern of Cumilla Medical College and Hospital allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the dormitory of the medical college on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Minhazul Karim Bhuiya, a no 24th batch intern of the hospital. Ahmed Manjur Morshed, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said other inmates of the hostel found Minhaz hanging from the ceiling in her room and informed police. Later, police recovered the body and sent it to the hospital morgue. However, a suicidal note which reads ‘Nobody is responsible for my death’ was found at the room, said police.  

Police arrested an intern of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital early Saturday in a case filed under the Anti-Pornography Act by his lover. The plaintiff of the case said she had a love affair with the accused, “ said Sadekur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Panchlaish police station. DMP is investigating the case, said the OC.
