Jidalai Co. Ltd., a Chinese company, is set to invest US$ 5.85 million to establish a zipper puller manufacturing facility in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (AEPZ). The new factory will have the capacity to produce 70 million zipper pullers annually, creating employment opportunities for 189 Bangladeshi workers. Jidalai Co. Ltd. is a strategic business partner of the globally renowned zipper brand YKK. An agreement between Jidalai Co. Ltd. and the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) was signed at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on Wednesday. Irish company Deltaport signs deal to invest US$ 36 million in BEPZA EZ Md. The company will invest USD $ 12 million and produce 2 million pieces of tent, canopy, bags, sleeping bags, back Pack, tarpaulins, awnings, sunblinds, Mosquito Net, Portable Folding Chair, Recycle Bin, and Umbrella. The company will create employment opportunities for 2973 Bangladeshi nationals. Chinese company Venus Beauty Limited will invest USD $ 50 million to set up a hair fashion accessories manufacturing industry in BEPZA Economic Zone. This fully foreign owned company will produce annually 226.09 million pcs of fashion accessories, plastic comb, mirror, headband, pony tailor and amp; pony band. Around 4000 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment opportunities in this factory. Chinese Company Xihe Textile Technology Bangladesh Limited will set up a garment manufacturing industry in Mongla EPZ with an investment of USD $12.89 million. The fully foreign owned company will produce annually 5 million pcs of woven garments and 2.3 million pcs Knit garments. Xihe Textile will create employment opportunities for 2892 Bangladeshi nationals.
