ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024: Full Fixture, Groups, Teams and Venues
ICC has published the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup groups and fixtures. Ten teams will battle it out over 2.5 weeks and 23 games to be crowned as the next world champions of T20I cricket form. Let’s take a look at the fixtures, teams, and venues of the 2024 ICC Women’s T20I World Cup tournament.
Host and Venues of Women’s T20 World Cup Tournament
Bangladesh will host the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup for the second time. They are the second nation to host two Women’s T20 World Cups.
The matches would be played in two different venues.
Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur, DhakaSylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet12 of the 23 games will be played at Dhaka while the others will take place at Sylhet.

Format of 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup
Ten teams will be participating in this year’s tournaments. These teams will be divided into two groups. Each team will play with every one of the groups in a round-robin system. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

Conclusion
The 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup tournament will kick off on the 3rd of October with England taking on runner-up South Africa at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Host Bangladesh will play in the 2nd game of the tournament against Scotland. Defending champion Australia will start their 3rd consecutive title defense against Sri Lanka at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The semi-finals will start on the 17th of October. The Grand Finale is scheduled to be played on the 20th of October at Dhaka.

T20 World Cup 2024: ICC Confirmed the Qualification Route for Marquee Events
The International Cricket Council on Sunday (April 10) revealed the way teams can qualify for both men’s and women’s T20 World Cup events in the year 2024. During the board meeting, South Africa was picked as the host nation for the inaugural ICC U19 Women’s World Cup in 2023. Besides, the qualification process for the ICC women’s world cup in 2025 was also confirmed. The qualification process for the T20 World Cup 2024 for both men's and women's editions is discussed in this article.
Qualification Process of 2024 ICC TwentyT20 World Cup for men's, women's editions
In 2024, the ICC will host a T20 World Cup for both men's and women's teams. The men's Twenty20 World Cup will be held in the United States and the West Indies. However, the host of the women's version is yet to be determined.

Men’s T20 World Cup Qualification Pathway
The International Cricket Council's board of directors decided on April 10 that 12 teams will qualify directly for the men's T20 World Cup 2024. The top eight teams from the Twenty20 World Cup 2022 in Australia will qualify for the next edition. In addition, the Windies and the United States will be able to compete in the tournament league phase. The remaining two teams will be decided by the teams with the highest rankings as of November 14th.
The top three teams in the rankings will progress if the West Indies finish in the top eight in the 2022 World Cup. The top two teams will qualify for the main tournament in 2024 if the West Indies finish outside the top eight.

For the first time, the ICC men's T20 World Cup in 2024 will include a total of 20 teams. Therefore, the remaining eight teams will be determined by the ICC's regional qualifiers, which will feature two teams from Asia, Africa, and Europe, as well as one team from the Americas and East Asia Pacific.
Women’s T20 World Cup Qualification Pathway
A similar procedure will be followed for the Women's World Cup in 2024. The main event will include ten teams. The Twenty20 World Cup in 2024 will include eight teams with direct entries. The top three teams from each group will advance to the main event of the 2023 Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa.

A berth in the 2024 edition is also guaranteed for the tournament host and the next highest-ranked team on a certain cut-off date. The worldwide qualifier will choose the other two teams. It's worth noting that if the host team is one of the top six teams in the 2023 edition, the following two best teams will qualify for the main event.

The cricket’s highest governing body last year revealed the hosts of each major tournament of the ICC till 2031. As per the announcement, the ICC will organize a big tournament each year till 2031. Therefore, a lot of limited-overs cricket matches will be staged during this period.
