A microbus driver was killed and 10 passengers injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in Ghoraghat upazila of Dinajpur on Saturday morning. The deceased was identified as Nasim ,35, son of Sahab Uddin of Chakai village in Birganj upazila of the district. Sahidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC)of Ghoraghat Police Station, said the accident occurred in the Damodarpur Sonamukhi Bazar area when a microbus carrying passengers from Mymensingh was heading towards Birganj and collided head-on with a vegetable-laden truck coming from the opposite direction on the Dhaka-bound road. Schoolboy killed in Dinajpur road crash The collision left the truck overturned by the roadside and the microbus badly damaged, he added. He said the microbus driver died on the spot, while 10 passengers, including five in critical condition, were rescued and taken to the upazila health complex. They were later referred to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital after receiving primary treatment. Police said all the injured passengers are members of the same family.

Three people were killed and five others injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur on Monday morning. The deceased were identified as Manik 35, the microbus driver from Hariharpur in Dinajpur Sadar and son of late Abul, Delwar Hossain 45, a treasury official from Hajipara in Thakurgaon town and son of late Hafizur Rahman. The identity of  another deceased could not be confirmed immediately. The accident occurred around 6am amid light rain on the Dinajpur-Thakurgaon highway in the Chabbish Mile area, said Md Raihan, sub-inspector of Birganj police station. Another person died on the way to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital. The injured were admitted to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital.  

Two persons were killed and another injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in Baraigram upazila of Natore in the early hours of Wednesday, police said. The deceased were identified as bus driver Moniruzzaman and one of its passengers, Al Mahbub, both residents of Chuadanga Sadar upazila. Read: 2 to die for murder Manikganj The accident occurred around 2am when the Bonpara-bound truck crashed into the Rajshahi-bound microbus, said Firoz Hossain, a sub-inspector with Bonpara highway police. The two died on the spot in the impact of the collision, he said. "The injured is being treated at a private hospital in Bonpara."
