X Ceramics Group wins prestigious Green Factory Award 2025
X Ceramics Group has been honored with the Green Factory Award 2025 by the Government of Bangladesh, recognizing its unwavering commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible industrial practices.
The award was officially received by Mahin Mazher, Managing Director of X Ceramics Group, at a ceremony held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium. In recognition of the company’s green initiatives and environmental leadership the award was presented by advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Ministry of Shipping Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain, advisor to the Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Housing and Public Works Adilur Rahman Khan was present as special guest at the event.
Located in Boherar Chala, Mauna, Gazipur, X Ceramics Group has implemented energy-efficient production technologies, advanced waste management systems, and eco-conscious product innovations. These efforts have positioned the company as a role model in sustainable manufacturing within the ceramics industry.

4 Pran-RFL companies get 'Green Factory Award'
Four companies of Pran-RFL Group have received Green Factory Award 2020.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina virtually joined the award-giving programme as the chief guest.
State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian handed over the award on behalf of her at a programme in the capital Wednesday.

The labour and employment ministry introduced the award this year to encourage local industries to invest in green measures.
The Green Factory award was been given in six categories.
Habiganj Agro Limited, a sister concern of Pran, received the award in the food processing category; RFL group sister concerns Banga Building Materials Limited, Allplast Bangladesh Limited and Durable Plastics Limited in the plastic category.

Kamruzzaman Kamal, director (marketing) at Pran-RFL group said, "We have given utmost importance to the environment while designing our factory buildings, infrastructure and other installations and follow the eco-friendly process in every step – from production to marketing."

15 apparel manufacturers get Green Factory Award
Thirty institutions, including 15 garment factories, have received Green Factory Award 2020 for their contribution to saving the environment and creating employment.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment launched the "Green Factory Award 2020" this year to encourage local industries to invest in green measures.

The award-winning institutions include 15 factories from the garment industry, three institutions from the food processing, four from tea, two from leather, three from the plastic and three others from the pharmaceutical sectors.
The garment factories which received the award are Remi Holdings Limited, Tarasima Apparels Limited, Plummy Fashions Limited, Mithela Textile Industries Limited, Vintage Denim Studio Limited, AR Jeans Producer Limited, Karooni Knit Composite Limited, Designer Fashion Limited, Kenpark Bangladesh Apparel Private Limited (Kenpark Unit 2), Green Textile Limited (Unit 3), Four H Dyeing and Printing Limited, Wisdom Attires Limited, Mahmuda Attires Limited, Snowtex Outerwear Limited and Auko-Tex Limited.
Bangladesh has 152 green garment buildings certified as "Leadership in Environmental and Energy in Design (LEED)" by the US Green Building Council.

Among them 44 factories are platinum rated while 94 are gold rated, 10 are silver. 500 more factories are in the process of achieving LEED certification.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan congratulated the factories on winning the award and expressed appreciation for their efforts to cut carbon emissions and global warming and their commitment to a healthy and sustainable future.
He urged the government to honour all green garment factories in Bangladesh with awards to recognise their contributions to protecting the environment.
