Infinix Note 12 G96 Review: A Budget Phone With Top-Notch Features
The Infinix Note 12 series is a new line of smartphones that comes with a lot of features and specifications. The phones are perfect for those who love taking pictures and videos as well as multitasking. Some of the notable features of these phones include large screen size, a fast processor, ample storage space, and a camera that is capable of capturing stunning images and videos. Recently the company has added a new phone Note 12 G96, to its lineup. The phone was released on June 21, 2022, in Bangladesh. Let’s get to know the features and price of Infinix Note 12 G96.
Key Features of Infinix Note 12 G96
Design and Build
Infinix Note 12 G96 is slim at 7.8mm thickness, and its weight is 1.85g. The phone resembles the recent iPhone, which has a square-sided frame with inwards to the rear and front sections. While the front part is plain like all the phones, you will get three options for the back part, snowfall, force black, and sapphire blue.
The phone appears well-made considering its budget class. The back, as well as the front, is made of glass. The frame notably looks like metal, but it is actually plastic. The camera lens and design are regular. While the competitors have a bit bulkier design with the cameras, G96 kept everything neat.

There’s an audio jack in the phone but no official waterproof rating. The good thing about G96 is that you can unlock the phone by touching the power button as it has a fingerprint scanner.
Display
Among the reasons to buy Note 12 G96 is the extensive 6.7-inch display, which is standard for high-end Note branded devices. Its large 6.7 inches give you the opportunity to watch videos, play games, or simply scroll through your photos. Budget phones frequently feature LCD displays, but leading makers like Infinix have an AMOLED screen with a superior Full HD resolution. This will give you more contrast, vibrant colors, and better brightness than most.
The peak brightness measured is 514 nits, while the display might not be easy to view outdoors under sunlight. The display can replicate 100% of the P3 spectrum; hence you can call it true color. However, the display contains some reasonable bezels, and it doesn’t provide a high refresh rate either.

Speakers
You can get stereo speakers on the phone, and they sound a lot better than you might expect for the price. The volume levels are surprisingly high, and the balance is exceptional. Infinix Note 12 G96’s sound quality is better than the competitors.
Performance
This version of Note 12 includes a MediaTek Helio G96 processor, which is more powerful than its ancestor Note 12 with G88. This octa-core processor with up to 2.05GHz clock speed is a competitor of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 available inside the Redmi Note 11. Infinix says that it enhances the display screen and visuals and provides faster gaming performance, with breakthrough performance.
To boost the processor, the phone comes with 8GB of RAM. In addition, Infinix offers something that is becoming increasingly common in Extended RAM, where you may add 5GB RAM using the ROM storage. The phone comes with 128GB and 256GB of ROM storage.

The benchmark results from the Note 12 G96 are highly desirable, but scoring better than both the Redmi Note 11 and Realme 9i seems too minor to get much attention. They are not much different from similarly priced handsets in this particular test.
It should also be noted that the G96 model does not feature 5G connectivity, so if you need access to the most recent mobile networks, you may need to look elsewhere. The Xiaomi Poco M4 Pro 5G and Oppo A54 5G are both great options that fit your budget and are worth checking out for 5G access.
The phone comes with a dual sim option and the second slot is absolutely usable as you don’t need to insert any SD card into that.

Infinix Note 12 G96 comes with Android 12 with the company’s XOS 10.6 UI over the top, which makes the operating system more elegant. Like iOS, XOS has a notification panel along with a quick setting on either side of the central camera.
Cameras
It’s nice to see that the Infinix Note 12 G96 hasn’t yielded to the trap of adding just 2 megapixels of macro only to increase the megapixel count. The phone’s main camera is 50 megapixels, accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
An ultrawide would be a pleasant upgrade, but on a budget phone like G96, the main camera is good enough to shoot promising photos.

With the main camera, you can perfectly capture some pleasing images with some good details. It can even correct the exposure with accurate colors. However, you may still see some noise if you take a close shot, even the outdoors.
Note 12’s video quality is satisfactory when used at resolutions of 2K and 30fps, although the default setting of 720p speaks for itself. The detail is excellent at the higher resolution. However, it is not furnished with optical stabilization for steady shooting, so unless it is kept very still, it might not work at all.
Battery and Charging
The phone comes with a large 5000mAh battery which gives strong longevity. With relatively light usage, the battery can last two days easily. A large battery provides more power, which means you can run your apps and games faster and longer without having to worry about running out of battery.

For charging, it comes with 33W capability, which is decent enough for a budget phone. The phone can get charged to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Price of Infinix Note 12 G96’S in Bangladesh
With all these excellent features, Note 12 G96 is officially priced at Tk. 19,999.
Verdict
As a budget phone, you are getting decent core specs at the cheapest price. With a high-speed processor, up to 13GB RAM, a 6.7-inch display, and enhanced ROM, Infinix Note 12 G96 will surely be a great pick under TK. 20,000.
