President receives report on Bangabandhu birth centenary celebration
Convener of the National Implementation Committee of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury handed over report on the celebration to President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban on Thursday evening.
The celebration happened during 2019-22.
Receiving the report, the president said that the birth centenary celebration of Bangabandhu was another milestone in the history of Bangladesh.
He said that a golden opportunity had been created to know the life and works of Bangabandhu in the country and abroad and the contribution of Bangabandhu in the history of independence of Bangladesh to the present and future generations through this.
Thanking everyone involved in this celebration, he said the juxtaposition of Bangabandhu's birth centenary celebrations and golden jubilee celebrations of independence is a unique historical event.

He expressed the hope that through this celebration, the new generation will be inspired by the ideals and patriotism of Bangabandhu and dedicate themselves to building the country.

PM receives report on Bangabandhu birth centenary celebration
Chief coordinator of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury on Tuesday handed over its report to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He handed over the 234 page report to the PM at her official residence Ganabhaban, according to a press release.
The government on February 14, 2019 formed two committees named National Committee and National Implementation Committee to celebrate the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at befitting manner.
A grand program was organized under the initiative of the National Implementation Committee.
The birth centenary of Bangabandhu and the Mujib Borsho began on March 17, 2020.
Due to the global corona epidemic situation many programs were conducted through digital channels, the press release said, but overall participation of the people was overwhelming and spontaneous.

The event became a global programme as heads of state and government of important countries of the world sent their greetings.
At this time, to inspire the countrymen including the new generation digital content about Bangabandhu was created while several world-class commemorative books, compilations and souvenirs were published and a ten-day program entitled 'Muktir Mahanayak' and a program titled Mujib Chirantan, was inaugurated.
A two-day event titled 'Mahabijaya Mahanayak' and closing ceremony titled 'Tungipara: Hridoye Pithrubhoomi' was organised, which was widely appreciated.
The Mujib Year officially ended on March 31 last.
Meanwhile, the media center report of the National Implementation Committee was also presented to the prime minister.
