BMCCI inks MoU with DPMM to enhance trade, investment ties with Malaysia
Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) Monday inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM) to enhance trade and investment ties with Malaysia.
BMCCI President Syed Almas Kabir and DPMM President Abd Halim Bin Husin signed the agreement in Dhaka.
Almas Kabir hoped that the deal would play a vital role in elevating the trade and investment relationship between Bangladesh and Malaysia. "The bilateral trade ties has been expanding in recent years."
BMCCI is always trying to enhance collaboration between its members and Malaysian business communities, which helps them know each other and expand trade ties, he added.
Abd Halim, also a vice-president of the National Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia, expressed his satisfaction with the overall trade and investment situation of Bangladesh and hoped that the existing ties would get stronger in future.

He arrived in Bangladesh along with a business delegation to participate in the D-8 Chambers of Commerce (D-8 CCI) summit.
BMCCI Vice-President Shabbir Ahmed Khan, Joint Secretary General Rubaiyat Ahsan; directors Sifat Ahmed Chaudhuri, and Md Mamunur Rahman were also present at the meeting.
