A 40-year-old man riding on his bike was killed after being hit by a bus in the Jatrabari area of the city Sunday morning, said police. The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, son of late Abdur Razzak, originally from Darikandi village of Daudkandi upazila in Cumilla. He used to work in a Rod shop in Bangshal’s Nayabazar. Read: Two killed as bus rams into human hauler in Dhaka's Mirpur Rashedul Islam, the cousin of the deceased said that Razzak died on the spot when he was run over by a Taj Paribahan’s bus on the Dhaka Chittagong highway between Rayerbazar and Matuail around 10:30 am. Later, police recovered his body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Tamanna Akhtar, sub-inspector (SI) of Jatrabari police station confirmed the matter to UNB.
