Two shops gutted in Dhaka market fire
Two shops were gutted in a fire which broke out at a market in the city’s Gulistan area in the early hours of Saturday, officials said.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of Fire Service and Civil Defense HQ, said the fire broke out at a shop in Baitusshamir Market around 5am and engulfed an adjacent shop.
On information, five fire tenders were pressed into the service and the blaze was brought under control in an hour, he said.

“A probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of the fire,” he said.
