A 35-year-old suspected robber was killed in a lynch-mob attack at Hilsia village in Patia upazila on Sunday. The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately. Rashedul Islam, officer-in-charge of Patia Police Station, said six people, entered into the house of one person Badal Chowdhury around 2:30 am at the village and looted valuables after keeping the house inmates hostages at gunpoint. Later though, they gave him a good thrashing, leaving him dead. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
