SAFF Women's Champs: Bangladesh storm into final crushing Bhutan 8-0 in first semifinal
Bangladesh smartly reached the final of the seven-nation 6th SAFF Women's Championship' 2022 with an all-win record crushing Bhutan 8-0 in the first semifinal at the Dasharath Stadium (Rangasala) in Kathmandu Friday afternoon.
In the day's goal feast, Bangladesh clearly dominated the first half by 4-0 goals.

This is the 2nd final berth for Bangladesh in the SAFF Women's Championship after 2016 meet held in the Indian town of Siliguri.
Bangladesh will play the final on September 19 against the winners of five times champions India and host Nepal, in the 2nd semifinal today (Friday) at 5:45 Bangladesh time.
Bangladesh dominated the day's match from very beginning to last whistle to earn a convincing victory where Bhutan failed to make any good attempt.
In the day's one-sided semis, captain Sabina Khatun made a hattrick while Sirat Jahan Swapna, Krishna Rani Sarkar, Ritu Porna Chakma, Masura Parvin and Tohura Khatun netted one shot each.
Forward Swapna opened the floodgate for Bangladesh in the very 2nd minute after dodging past opponent custodian (1-0).

SAFF Women's Champs: Bangladesh hold second practice session in Kathmandu
The Bangladesh Women's Football team, now in the Nepalese capital Kathmandu, practiced for the 2nd consecutive day today (Monday), ahead of the seven-nation 6th SAFF Women's Championship' 2022 beginning on Tuesday.
Hosts Nepal will play Bhutan in the opening day's lone match at 5:30 pm on Tuesday at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu.
Bangladesh team was placed in tough Group A, along with five times champions India, the Maldives and Pakistan while Group B team comprises hosts Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan.
Bangladesh will start their campaign taking on the Maldives on Wednesday (Sept 7) at 5:30 pm while two arch-rival India and Pakistan will meet each other in the day's other match at 1pm.
In the remaining group matches, Bangladesh will face Pakistan on Sept 10 at 1pm and will meet India on Sept 13 at 5:30 pm.

Experienced booter Sabina Khatun will lead he Bangladesh women's side as captain while Maria Manda will assist her as vice-captain.
Ahead of the regional tournament, Bangladesh team made half an hour long gym session Monday morning from 10 00 am to 10:30 am and later they took part in the official press conference at Soaltee Kathmandu Hotel.
