It's time for young guns to fire on all cylinders: Nurul Hasan
Bangladesh T20 team vice-captain Nurul Hasan Sohan has said the time has come for the young guns of the team to fire on all cylinders.
In the upcoming World Cup, Bangladesh will miss the services of Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad. While Tamim and Mushfiqur called time on T20s, Mahmudullah was overlooked by the selectors.
In this situation, the young players will have to take the responsibility on their shoulders, Nurul said.
"The senior players have performed really well for Bangladesh cricket. They have brought us here, now the onus is on us to take the team forward," he said after a training session Thursday.
"Many players of the T20 World Cup squad have been playing international cricket for more than five years. So, they will have to deliver no," he added.

"We are more mature as cricketers now. We always want to do well for Bangladesh. If we can play as a team, can stick to our plan, I think the result will come our way," he added.
Nurul was Bangladesh's captain during the Zimbabwe tour. But an injury ruled him out of the team. The wicketkeeper-batter also missed the Asia Cup due to that injury. Now he is ready to make a comeback with the two-match series against the UAE this month.
The Bangladesh team will leave for the UAE on September 22. The T20 series against the UAE will be played on September 25 and 27 at the Dubai International Stadium.
After the series, the Bangladesh team will return home for a break of two-three days. Following that, the Tigers will fly to New Zealand for the tri-series against New Zealand and Pakistan.
