Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has suspended the operations of vessels on all waterways across the country due to inclement weather caused by Cyclone ‘Sitrang’. The suspension took effect at 10 am on Monday (October 24, 2022) and will remain in force till further notice, BIWTA public relations officer Mobarak Hossain told UNB.
