Fire at agro-products warehouse in Mymensingh under control
A fire that broke out at a warehouse of agricultural products in the BSCIC area of Mymensingh Sadar upazila was brought under control after one and a half hours of frantic efforts, said fire officials.
Motiur Rahman, deputy director of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) department in Mymensingh, said that ten firefighting units from several stations rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 12 p.m.
Earlier, the fire erupted from the warehouse around 10:30 a.m. and engulfed a bakery adjacent to it.
During the incident, personnel from the army, RAB, and police supported the fire service teams.
The fire may have been triggered by chemicals stored in the warehouse, which could have heated up and ignited spontaneously, added the fire officer.

Fire at pesticide factory in Savar BSCIC area under control
A fire broke out at a pesticide factory inside Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) industrial area in Savar’s Dhamrai early Saturday.
The fire broke out on the 3rd floor of the four-storey Bangladesh Agricultural Industry around 4:45 am and spread soon, said Mahfuz Ahmed, a fire service official.
On information, nine firefighting units rushed to the spot and had the fire under control around 8:40 am.

However, ten people were injured while trying to douse the fire, said
“A probe has been ordered to find out the cause behind the fire,” he said.
