The Ukrainian passenger plane that crashed shortly after takeoff in the Iranian capital on Jan. 8 was hit by two short-range TOR-M1 missiles, Iranian state IRIB TV reported Tuesday.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Saturday warned against any attempt to politicize the recent Ukrainian passenger plane crash in the outskirt of capital Tehran, state TV reported.

Investigators did not rule out that a missile strike had hit the plane which crashed earlier this week near Tehran, but this version has no confirmation yet, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on his official Facebook page on Friday.
