SSC exams postponed for cyclone Mocha to be held after end of written tests: Dipu
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations which were postponed due to cyclonic storm Mocha will be held after the completion of the written examinations, said Dipu Moni on Monday (May 15, 2023).
The written test under nine general education boards, technical and madrasha boards will end on May 23 and the postponed examinations May 14 and May 15 will be held after the completion of the written test, she said while addressing a programme at Government Teachers’ Training College in the city.

Earlier, the SSC exams of the six education boards-Chattogram board, Cumilla board, Jashore board, Barishal board, Bangladesh Madrasa Education board and Technical Education board-for May 14 were postponed and then SSC exams of all education boards scheduled for 15 were postponed due to very severe cyclonic stom Mocha.
Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee issued two notices signed by its chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar on Saturday and Sunday.
Referring to the new curriculum, Dipu Moni said the authorities have taken steps to implement the new curriculum to build a skilled and smart nation.

SSC exams of all education boards for May 15 postponed due to Mocha
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations of all education boards scheduled for Monday (May 15) were postponed as cyclone Mocha is making landfall over Bangladesh-Myanmar coast .
On Sunday, the SSC exams of the six education boards-Chattogram board, Cumilla board, Jashore board, Barishal board, Bangladesh Madrasa Education board and Technical Education board-for May 14 and 15 were postponed.

Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee issued a notice in this regard signed by its chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar on Sunday (May 14, 2023).
The SCC exam for May 15 was postponed as it will be held on a single question in all boards, it said.
The revised schedule of the postponed exams will be announced later and exams will continue as per schedule from May 16, it reads.

SSC 2023 exams begin today
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams for 2023 began today (April 30, 2023) across Bangladesh.
SSC exams began at 10 am with Bangla 1st Paper.
According to the Ministry of Education, a total of 20,72,163 candidates are sitting for this year’s SSC and equivalent exams.

In order to ensure a conducive and peaceful environment, no one except the candidates will be allowed within 200 yards of the exam halls during the SSC exams, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said in a press release on April 27.

SSC, equivalent exams to begin Sunday
The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations for 2023 will begin in Bangladesh on Sunday (April 30, 2023).
According to the Ministry of Education, a total of 20,72,163 candidates are likely to sit for this year’s SSC and equivalent exams.

In order to ensure a fair and peaceful environment no one except the candidates will be allowed within 200 yards of the examination halls during the examinations, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said in a press release on April 27.
Meanwhile, all coaching centres in the country will remain closed from April 26 to May 23 for holding the examinations smoothly, said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Tuesday.
Dipu Moni said that the examinations will be held on a short syllabus this year.
